Delete Android app data

  1. Open Android Settings.
  2. Open Apps, then Biofects Butler Free or Biofects Butler Paid.
  3. Choose Storage and select Clear storage or Clear data.

This removes the selected Home Assistant URL, encrypted OAuth credentials, pending authorization state, local preferences, cached profile, and that installation's local display identifier. Uninstalling the app also removes its private local data.

Revoke Home Assistant access

Use Home Assistant's account or security controls to revoke Butler's authorization. Clearing Android storage does not by itself remove authorization records maintained by Home Assistant.

Delete a display registration

  1. Open Home Assistant as an administrator.
  2. Open Butler Dashboards from the sidebar.
  3. Find the display and choose Delete.

The display will register again if Butler remains installed, authorized, and connected. Current builds replace an earlier registration from the same physical device rather than creating a duplicate.

Delete dashboard profiles

Open Butler Dashboards and delete profiles you created. The built-in default profile cannot be deleted. Removing the Biofects Butler integration from Home Assistant removes integration-managed configuration according to Home Assistant's integration removal behavior.

Advertising choices

In the Free edition, use Butler's Privacy control when available to revisit Google UMP choices. Android settings may also allow you to reset or delete the device advertising identifier. Google-controlled data requests are governed by Google's privacy tools and policies.

Request assistance

Biofects does not currently operate a Butler account database containing your Home Assistant credentials or smart-home data. If you believe Biofects holds information about you or need help with deletion, email support@biofects.com. Identify the product and request, but do not send credentials or tokens.
