Voice and touch
Use push-to-talk, supported wake-word operation, or direct controls through the Home Assistant Assist pipeline you configure.
Companion app for Home Assistant · Not standalone
A native Android voice and touch interface for your existing Home Assistant system. Butler displays data, dashboards, and controls supplied by Home Assistant and sends your actions to it. Butler does not operate as a standalone smart-home app or service.
Required: a working Home Assistant installation, the Biofects Butler custom integration, and a Home Assistant user account.
Current builds: Free beta.26 and private Paid beta.27 require Biofects Butler Home Assistant integration version 0.1.0-beta.28 or newer. Paid beta.27 refines Biofects Aurora with a darker animated background, consistent ordered navigation, and improved rotating chamber information. Install over the existing edition to retain authorization.
Use push-to-talk, supported wake-word operation, or direct controls through the Home Assistant Assist pipeline you configure.
Build multi-panel screens or give one panel the full page. Profiles, entities, actions, themes, and display assignments remain managed by the Biofects Butler Home Assistant integration.
Select any weather provider exposed by Home Assistant, then open its controls for current temperature, humidity, wind, visibility, and available forecasts.
Butler connects to the Home Assistant instance you select. Biofects does not proxy smart-home state, credentials, camera feeds, or voice audio.
Editions
Ad-supported edition with a fixed Biofects Butler identity, Butler Neon and Holographic Interface themes, and up to two registered displays. Download the signed APK and its checksum from the official GitHub release.
Private beta.27 is an ad-free evaluation build with exclusive access to Biofects Aurora and without the Free two-display limit. Paid purchasing and public delivery are still being prepared.

Direct installation
Until Butler returns to Google Play, Android may ask you to allow installation from your browser or file manager. Download only from the official Biofects GitHub repository. Every public release includes a SHA-256 checksum, signing-certificate details, and security-scan results so you can verify the file before installation.
Website builds and future Google Play builds may use different signing certificates. Moving to a Play-distributed build may require uninstalling the website build first, which removes that app's local settings. Your Home Assistant configuration remains managed by Home Assistant.
Compatible devices: the same Free or Paid Android edition can run on phones, tablets, and compatible fixed displays. UniFi Connect displays that run Android 8.0 or newer and permit APK sideloading use the standard APK; no separate UniFi edition is required. Ubiquiti does not sponsor, endorse, or support Biofects Butler.
Before installation
Butler depends on Home Assistant for authentication, entities, state, actions, dashboard configuration, and voice processing. It cannot discover or control smart-home devices independently. You need a working Home Assistant installation and the Biofects Butler custom integration. Voice features also require a configured Home Assistant Assist pipeline. Review the complete requirements and compatibility information.
Biofects Butler is not an alarm monitoring, emergency response, medical, or life-safety service. Keep independent controls and appropriate safeguards for critical systems.
